Southeast Michigan Project Blue Light Ceremony honors the Fallen Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters of 2016. The ceremony, which will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 6, 2016 in Hazel Park, was organized to remember those from the past and offers support to the survivors. The event features poems, prayer, music and a wreath presentation at which time family or department representative(s) will place a flower in memory of those being honored this year, as well as those who have fallen in the past. Immediately following the service, light refreshments will be provided in the church cafeteria by the Parish Altar Society.

Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters are encouraged to attend. The show of support from uniformed personnel is always very touching and adds so much more to the evening. Along with uniformed personnel, local department Honor Guards are also invited. If your department is sending Honor Guard members, please contact Debbie Swofford, Coordinator of Southeast Michigan Project Blue Light at (586) 214-3056 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
